I really enjoy the concept of "slow and steady wins the race." In fact, it's a part of my own brand and my own core values. So joining a community of people who think the same matters to me. Some communities use big numbers as markers of success, and even if they're not promoting it as their core value, I feel like I'm not enough every time I go there. I believed Jen’s community has a different focus, and so far this is what I've seen!
I like that I can check in a few times a week and let people know how I'm doing. I also enjoy reading other people's comments and engaging with them. I like that there's space to ask questions and to take things as slowly as I want. I like that there's no pressure to complete anything, and I enjoy the freedom and permission to take as much or as little as I want at the moment and then share what I've learned with other business owners. I also identify with Jen in terms of where she is in life. I, too, have kids and want to create a life that incorporates my busy motherhood but also honours my desire for creativity, curiosity, entrepreneurship and innovation.
My favourite part of YS&SB is that it gives me permission to be where I am, inspiration to use what I have, and confidence and empowerment that I can thrive even with the little I currently have, without the pressure of producing more.
