Getting Specific With Your Blog: Why Do You Blog?

To kick start the new year I’m introducing a brand new feature on Jennypurr; a four week series every month focusing on a blogging or business topic to help you and I really build online spaces that we love. For the next four Monday’s in January we’re going to be focusing on Getting Specific With Your Blog, as this is the year I really want to narrow in, get specific, and focus on creating content for likeminded passionate bloggers and creatives. Over the next four weeks we’ll be focusing on pin-pointing what it is we really want to be creating, so we can then build an implementable roadmap to help us really achieve our goals and reach our ideal audience.

If getting specific with your blog and really creating a bold and brave online space is a challenge you want to take on this month, I’m super excited to have you on board. And if you’re really committed to making 2015 your best blogging year yet, there will be extra resources (and a free mini eBook) for mailing list subscribers throughout the month if you want to sign up here

A Year In Jennypurr

The past 12 months of running this blog have been so enjoyable for me; I've learned so much, grown so much, and taken a leap into the next chapter of what I really want this space to be. I started the year as a beauty blogger, and along the way I discovered that my heart really belonged to creating content for fellow creatives and bloggers and after taking a scary leap into refocusing my blog I am very happy to say it's a decision I'm so glad I made. I'm so crazy grateful for all of your support and kind words this past year - putting yourself and your work out there online for the whole world to see is scary business, and being able to do it alongside such an engaged and awesome readership is something that means so much to me.

I'm so excited to be heading into 2015 feeling motivated to raise the bar of what I want this space to be, nurture the online community we're building together, and support my fellow creatives along the way. This is the year where I really feel like I've started to find my creative tribe, and I'm so grateful for all of the awesome friendships and connections I've made online this year - so many of them started in the comments section of this blog! Looking back over the past 12 months I feel like I've come on leaps and bounds in terms of content creation and finding my blogging voice, and today I wanted to share with you 14 of my favourite blog posts of 2014.
